What is the Solar System?

The solar system is our sun and everything that travels around it. Our solar system is elliptical in shape. Elliptical means egg-shaped. The sun is in the center of the solar system. Our solar system is always in motion. The sun is the biggest object of our solar system. It contains more than 98% of the solar system's mass. Astronomers think the solar system is more than 4 billion years old. The sun has enormous power from Hydrogen and Helium. The sun is a member of the Milky Way Galaxy. Planets travel around the sun in different orbits.
What are the orbits? Spacecrafts are called orbiters. Orbiters are very similar to planets. Planets are usually named after the Greek gods. For example, Venus is the name of the love butty God.
Our solar system is made up of 9 planets, the sun and our moon. The first 4 planets are called the inner planets. They are closest to the sun. Their names are Mercury,Venus, Earth and Mars. These planets are made mostly of rock.
The next five planets are called the outer planets. Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. They are called gas giants, because they are made mostly of gases. The last planet is Pluto. It is coated with ice.
In 2006 an astronomers renamed Pluto, Eris and Ceres dwarf planets.

I recently heard, "Failure is a success if we can learn from it." Every step a newcomer takes in Canada is one step closer to the their success. Keep going! This idiom makes me so happy and hard working. I had a terrible week because I felt like a failure in Canada. I don't khnow why. Finally, I passed that. After one busy week I am good now. When I was reading this idiom, I decided to share that with my classmates. I hope this works for you. Have a nice weekend, every one.

I went to the Exhibition on Labour Day. The exhibition had a great variety of entertainment for people. The army had maneuvers in the exhibition and around the Lakeshore Drive. They brought in weapons of war and military force, such as tanks, jeeps and mortar-shells. They let people touch the weapons, and soldiers explained their use. I took a picture in a soldier's uniform. It made me so happy, but i was a little bit afraid of tanks and soldiers because the soldiers were physically strong and tall. We should thankful for our army because they have a hard and important job.
